I agree that it's just a waste of money, but I like that many games add the feature of profiting from in-game items as well. For instance, I manage to make money when I trade skins, and you can try csgo sell skins for paypal as well because it's pretty profitable. But I don't think I'd ever buy a skin to improve the gaming experience.
