Pecan Pie

3 eggs

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup dark corn syrup

1/2 cup light corn syrup

splash vanilla extract

2 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted

2 tablespoons bourbon

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

9-inch pie crust

1/2 cup whole pecans


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, sugars, syrups, vanilla, melted butter, chopped pecans, and the bourbon. Mix well and set aside.

  2. Lightly butter a 9 inch skillet or pie pan, and lay the pie crust in. Add the whole pecans directly on top then pour in the the filling.

  3. Bake for 50-60 minutes; remove and let cool to set up before serving.
