Pecan Pralines


1 cup light brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

16oz pecans

1 tablespoon vanilla extract


  1. In a non stick skillet or pot, combine the sugars and cream.

  2. Bring to a boil and let simmer until it begins to thicken (you’ll know it’s ready whenever you can dip some in ice water and it stiffens)

  3. Mix in the pecans & vanilla and stir well until the mixture becomes creamy and difficult to stir.

  4. Spoon onto parchment paper and let cool
