Meatballs Rice & Gravy

Updated: Jan 8

1 pound ground beef (the fattier the better)

cajun seasoning, to taste 2 tbs cayenne pepper

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

30 ounces of water ( more or less depending on how much gravy you want)

rice (click here to see how I make mine)

** The seasonings listed above are just what I like to use; feel free to change it to fit your tastes**

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and seasonings of your choice. Form into meatballs and set aside.

  2. In a skillet or a pot, on medium high heat, add the vegetable oil. When it's hot, place in the meatballs. Reduce to a medium heat and brown really well on all sides.

  3. Once it's browned, add in your water. Bring this to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Place the lid on with a crack in it and let simmer for about 30 minutes.

  4. Serve over rice.
