Marinara Sauce

INGREDIENTS: 2 tbs olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

28 oz crushed tomatoes

14 oz diced tomatoes

8 oz tomato sauce

salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tsp basil, dried

1 tsp oregano, dried

pinch red pepper flakes, to taste


DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a skillet on a medium low heat, add the olive oil and the garlic. Saute until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. Add in the tomatoes and spices, mix well and bring to a simmer.

  3. Simmer, covered, for two hours, stirring occasionally.



**this will last only up to about 4 days in the ice box. To keep longer, freeze!
