Mama's Spaghetti

INGREDIENTS 1 stick butter

1 yellow onion, diced

garlic cloves, minced

2 pounds ground beef

16 ounces spaghetti noodles

1 large jar spaghetti sauce

cajun seasoning

mustard powder

dried thyme

cajun seasoning

1/4 cup white sugar


  1. In a pot on medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions for about 25 minutes. Stir in the ground beef, turn the heat to high brown down. Once brown, add in the garlic and let cook for about 3 minutes.

  2. Pour in the spaghetti sauce, a jar of water and season to taste. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and let simmer for about thirty minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and season with cajun seasoning. Boil the noodles until cooked (according to the package).

  4. Stir together and serve.
