Garlic Butter Ramen

1/2 pound shrimp, chicken, or steak

3 tbs sesame oil

cajun seasoning

black pepper

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 packages instant ramen


3 tbs unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbs brown sugar

1/2-1 cup soy sauce

green onions, sliced (for topping, optional)

sesame seeds (for topping, optional)


  1. In a skillet on medium heat, add the sesame oil. When it gets hot, add in your seasoned shrimp (seasoned with cajun seasoning and black pepper)

  2. Cook the shrimp for about 3 minutes on each side. When they are done; add in the soy sauce and let simmer for another 3 minutes. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. While the shrimp cook, boil the noodles, drain, and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter and saute´ the garlic for about 2 minutes. Mix in the brown sugar and soy sauce (you may need more depending how many packages of noodles you cook)

  5. When the sauce begins to simmer, add back in the noodles and shrimp.

  6. Divide into bowls, topped with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
